Role Purpose
NEOM is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Worker Welfare Officer is needed to support Worker Welfare compliance monitoring of Contractors. This is a dynamic role where the welfare officer will assist the organization in implementing strategic programs to achieve efficient and timely worker welfare compliance and assure close-outs of contractors that do not meet the required worker welfare standards.
Key Accountabilities & Activities
Conduct worker welfare audits, inspections and monitoring of contractors’ compliance with NEOM’s Worker Welfare Standards
Analyse big data spreadsheets to search for ambiguities and anomalies
Implement plans to deliver functional objectives in an effective and innovative approach (either individually or as part of a team)
Track and monitor progress of ongoing worker welfare audits and ensuring timely completion of associated tasks to complete audits on time, including production of audit reports
Develop a workplace culture that understand, appreciates, and implements safety practices
Complete, track and report audit results to management
Participate in daily operations for department /Sub-department / Function
Initiate and implement NEOM campaigns, studies and programs relating to worker welfare
Develop and improve processes specific to the role
Background Skills & Qualifications Knowledge, Skills And Experience
Minimum 2 years’ experience in (industry & role) or in relevant field of expertise
Knowledge of Wage Protection Systems (WPS) an advantage
Knowledge of employment labour laws an advantage
Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Office and databases
Multilingual an advantage (state languages known: Spoken & Written)
Production of regular internal reports and production of clear recommendations
Experience in carrying out audits and investigations
Experience in analysing data and reporting on ambiguities and anomalies
Use of Excel for data analytics (filters, graphs, pivot tables)
Competent collaborator and skilled cross-functional communicator
Team player who can also work independently as and when needed
Demonstration of initiative problem solving
Proficiency in English
