The railway will redefine logistics and transport in the region, providing a modern, safe, efficient and sustainable network which will connect the seven emirates of the UAE to its neighbouring GCC countries. As a Systems Lead (Resident Engineer), you will support the Systems Installation Manager and T&C Manager, in the delivery of the projects, leading and directing the overall systems installation and testing and commissioning activities, ensuring timely completion of testing work, whilst maintaining the quality, integrity and security of the equipment.
You willbe managing a team of systems site installation and T&C inspectors to monitor the contractor’s installation and testing progress on the different project subsystems.
You willbe managing the contractor to perform in accordance with the requirements of the contract, including safety, quality, schedule and cost.
You willset up dashboard of installation and T&C indicators to monitor contractor’s progress and KPIs.
You willmonitor the contractor’s productivity rates as well as quality and report back to the Installation/T&C Managers.
You willmonitor progress and proactively identify any issue that might be blocking and escalate when required.
You willreview installation reports and quality deliverables before and post installation and review and approve test reports.
You willverify field change requests coming from the contractor and maintain a supervision programme to ensure the quality and safety of the Systems activities onsite.
You willbe liaising and coordinating with a substantial number of D&B packages including, civil, MEP, facilities packages. The role requires to maintain a continuous coordination effort to bring all the project interfaces together as an integrated system. You must have extensive experience in Installation, testing and commissioning of the configuration, testing of Signaling, Telecommunications, Asset Protection Systems, SCADA and must demonstrate successful handover of similar project.
As an effective candidate you will have an Engineering Degree in Communication Engineering or Electrical Engineering with experience in railway testing. You MUST have experience in Signaling, telecommunications, asset protection systems, power supply systems, SCADA and operation control systems on working on Brown field projects, with a meaningful focus on HSE processes and procedures.
