The Role:We are looking for an experienced strategy associate to join Kingmakers growing team!
The associate will be tasked with developing analyses, achieve tangible project goals and implementing processes that improve organizational effectiveness, deliver business results, and build a sustainable competitive advantage. The candidate should have strong business acumen, be familiar with business operations, have excellent communication & presentation skills. To be successful in this role you should have analytical mind, excellent research skills, strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
What you will be doing:
Grow(th) – Explore new markets and business models through industry trends, historical trends, forward looking forecasts, competitive assessment, etc. and build / evaluate recommendations for strategic growth
Plan – Participate in the company wide strategic planning & agenda cascaded into different markets & business units
Drive – Leading the follow up management required either from the OKR process, the MBR process or any other initiatives the CEO’s office notes as requiring urgent focus
Manage projects – Monitoring, and reporting on projects and be able to direct their course
Brief – Author, manage, and deliver executive level reporting, addressing risks and issues and improve team communication and collaboration
Influence – Supporting and guiding senior executive decision-making processes
Research & structure – Conducting expansion / market intelligence for new territories & support with go-to-market plans
Expand – Similarly, support the Corporate Development & M&A team with financial modelling, deal planning and project management
Mobilize – Orchestrating major companywide strategic initiatives / strategic projects
Focus delivery – Being the champion for OKRs including governance, communications, tools, and continuous improvement
What you need for this role:
Degree in business, economics, or related field
3-5 years of experience in business administration, management consulting or strategic planning in a tech start-up
Generalist – Excellent understanding of business operations, growth functions and product organization
Entrepreneurial – having an entrepreneurial mindset where you look to gain responsibility and excited to shape the vision and direction of the company
Meticulous – Excellent research and analytical abilities coupled with strong organizational and planning skills
Consensus Builder – Strong to excellent communication and interpersonal skills with strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
Solid project management skills
Advanced to proficient Excel skills with rock solid financial modelling and quantitative assessment experience
Can-do attitude with a proactive, getting our hands dirty mentality
