Specialist, Business Development Job Purpose

Evaluate & develop opportunities in the international Market aimed at future partnership & collaboration in the target areas in line with strategy of the Downstream Marketing & Trading Directorate. Engage & work constructively with internal & external parties and stakeholders to achieve alignment throughout the engagement process with potential International Partners.

Develop & foster formal and informal networks within the international Downstream industry players with the objective of understanding & identifying specific opportunities to ADNOC, and proactively using the knowledge to bring value to ADNOC Job Specific Accountabilities (Part 1)
Business Development Focus on understanding & monitoring market needs & trends to identify new opportunities for ADNOC to explore investment in International Market with competent partners in the Petrochemical sector

Fill the opportunity pipeline, review & act upon the opportunity pipeline Qualify Investor pipeline leads & identify specific opportunities focussing on such aspects as attractiveness & strategic focus for ADNOC. Make initial contact & identify key stakeholders

Create detailed transparency & analysis on the International opportunity; identify potential partner’s growth strategy (e.g. new site, expansion…), value creation strategy, and key decision makers. Build & sustain the relationship

Select appropriate win-win partnership solutions based on ADNOC & Potential Partner strategy on standard terms & conditions. Clarify feasibility of the solution upfront.

Follow ADNOC Value assurance process for screening the opportunity & Stage gate clearance and develop necessary required documentation Focus on Value negotiation & define walkaway limits, terms & conditions. Simulate negotiations & prepare counter measurements & arguments. React quickly on ad-hoc changes in potential Partners requirements & close the initial engagement stage in a shorter time frame before handover. Job Specific Accountabilities (Part 2)


Develop techno-economic feasibility studies of shortlisted opportunities to deliver growth and maximize economic value from our the Downstream operations and resources

Conduct necessary due diligence & market analysis to identify areas of opportunity and recommend deals that may add value to ADNOC’s Downstream Industry, Marketing & Trading Strategy

Work with Technology & consultancy companies to get the most benefit from them and analyzing data to create the rights decisions. Evaluate potential of the new technologies from the technical point-of-view. Challenge Identification and Prioritization Design and implement new tools and technique…
