Education Details: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or other related Engineering fields.
DEWA approved Solar Engineer (Must have a Dubai based DEWA solar approval).
Brief Role Description: Provide technical direction or support to installation teams during installation, start-up, testing, system commissioning, or performance monitoring. Test or evaluate photovoltaic (PV) cells or modules.
Requirements: Must be able to work without supervision, must be a go getter and able to solve problems analytically.
Must have a Dubai based DEWA solar approval.
Proven track record of 5+ years of solar project management experience, including ground mount projects over 10 MW.
In-depth knowledge of National Electrical Code, solar permitting, and other PV system regulatory codes.
Strong leadership and communication skills, self-motivated with demonstrated problem-solving capability.
Self-starter with excellent presentation skills with constant attention to details and accuracy.
Self-disciplined and result-oriented.
Fluent in English is a prerequisite, Arabic or French considered a plus.
Flexibility to travel to project sites in various locations whenever necessary and/or stay abroad for long periods of time.
Project Manager experience will be added benefit.
Driving license an added benefit.
Duties and Responsibilities: Review specifications and recommend engineering or manufacturing changes to achieve solar design objectives.
Perform thermal, stress, or cost reduction analyses for solar systems.
Develop standard operation procedures and quality or safety standards for solar installation work.
Design or develop vacuum tube collector systems for solar applications.
Provide technical direction or support to installation teams during installation, start-up, testing, system commissioning, or performance monitoring.
Perform computer simulation of solar photovoltaic (PV) generation system performance or energy production to optimize efficiency.
Develop design specifications and functional requirements for residential, commercial, or industrial solar energy systems or components.
Create plans for solar energy system development, monitoring, and evaluation activities.
Create electrical single-line diagrams, panel schedules, or connection diagrams for solar electric systems using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
Create checklists for review or inspection of completed solar installation projects.
Work with the engineering team to conduct site investigation and assess the technical feasibility of developing a specific solar PV project.
Draft the scope of work and estimate the respective project budget.
