Job Purpose

To conduct a systematic analysis to identify and evaluate the potential socio-economic and cultural impacts of the development on the lives and circumstances of people and their communities to provide insight into sector planning, program development, and driving operational excellence.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Develop socio-economic assessment steps, which include – scoping, establishing a baseline, projecting, and estimating impacts that will be used to provide insights to develop the sectors in AlUla, Khaybar & Tayma regions, and enable the achievement of RCU’s overall strategy.

Support execution of assessment plan through data collection and analysis, carrying out field survey and study, and preparation of regional technical report and dissemination.

Use qualitative and quantitative methods and statistical tools to produce detailed, in-depth information to draw out meaning on complex issues and potential explanations about specific variables or outcomes of interest.

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to provide insights generated through the assessments that will support reviewing/adapting sector plans/programs and advising on risks/changes that may need to be mitigated.

Ensure that the Socio-Economic Assessment Project is conducted effectively within the available resources and communicate to key stakeholders in case of a change of scope or additional resources are required.

Prepare a template for a draft report format and presentation in close collaboration with Information Management, and submit regular reports including all insights of socio-economic assessment.

Establish metrics to measure the outcomes of the assessment and reports findings to sector planning.

Based on the insights developed through the assessments, lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of development and sector strategies to ensure a holistic approach to development and growth.

Identify and communicate with key stakeholder groups holding discussions with each to determine the key impacts and issues of interest.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Economics, or relevant field (Master’s Preferred).

8 years of relevant experience.

Other Requirements

Written and Oral proficiency of English languages.

Excellent communication skills.
