Job Purpose
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager for large retail and F&B projects.
The candidate will be responsible for the overall delivery of projects assigned. The successful candidate must possess the knowledge, experience and confidence to engage and professionally interact with the design professionals, consultants, contractors and client while successfully directing the Site Superintendent, Estimator, Mall operations, Business development team and other construction related personnel in planning, coordinating and safely executing the work in accordance with the contract documents, schedule and budget.
Candidate must be professional, and a personable leader committed to the overall objective and self-development within the company.
Roles, Responsibilities, Duties
Manage a portfolio of complex initiatives that span one or multiple lines of business.
Provide on-site leadership for project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones.
Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for one major retail developments (100M+) and several minor projects simultaneously.
Manage all aspects of multiple related projects to ensure the overall program is aligned to and directly supports the achievement of strategic objective.
Report on project success criteria results, metrics, test and deployment management activities
Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence.
Participate in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization.
Review the project plans and specifications and comment on the design, scheduling, possible cost savings measures and potential construction problems.
Preparation of project budget.
Prepare the SOW and general conditions in coordination with all stakeholders.
Tender for consultant and contractor packages.
Manage consultant and contractors.
Have confidence in own ability to intelligently communicate with design team/client as well as effectively lead the trades.
Expedite all shop drawings and approvals.
Monitor and maintain the project construction schedule on a weekly basis.
Raise and discuss relevant issues at the job site meetings. Prepare & issue minutes of all site meetings.
Inform the Consultant/Client of any errors, discrepancies or omissions contained within the Consultant’s design drawings and report back the same to higher management.
Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering /architecture or equivalent.
Recognized Certifications.
Projects Management and Development experience in large scale retail projects in UAE is a must.
Experience and Skills:
Role with Landlord Developer/Tenant experience is preferable.
12+ years of Project Management experience
UAE experience mandatory
