We are looking for aSenior Manager – Infrastructure Designto join our Infrastructure Planning & Design team. She/he will plan, oversee, and lead projects from ideation through to completion by interacting with a range of internal and external stakeholders, ensure the fulfillment of their requirements in terms of design, documents, coordination, communication and monitor the progress of the projects to ensure timely and on-budget completion and handover. Their key responsibilities, although not limited to below, would be:
Key responsibilities:
Plot Selection
Assist with selection of plot, contractual signing, FRAs and other requirements in coordination with Chief Operating Officer and VP – Business Development by providing site selection criteria for data centers to ensure the right size of available space, availability of power from the authorities, and feasibility to generate revenue.
Project Management
Lead, supervise and drive project execution from initiation until handover and completion by coordinating staff and internal/external resources to ensure timely and on-budget completion and handover of the projects.
Design new projects for Khazna’s expansion, conduct relevant analyses to determine the optimum white space to lease in the market to ensure efficiency of designs in line with Khazna’s objectives.
During construction, coordinate with PMCs and lead the supervision, designs, compatibility issues and technical requirements.
Act as the focal point between the contractors and operations teams once the project is handed over to ensure smooth communication and resolution of issues and technical queries.
Conduct analyses on optimum capex and opex in terms of selection electrical and mechanical strings based on database from suppliers in terms of equipment and design to determine the optimum white space to lease in the market.
Contractor Management
Prepare the scope and technical aspects of the RFP from an engineering point of view for new and operational projects to ensure adherence to relevant methodologies and processes.
Assist with the selection of TAs and PMCs to ensure their technical competency to execute the project.
Review and evaluate the bids submitted by contractors from a technical point of view to ensure compliance with requirements.
Team Supervision
Organize and supervise the work of the assigned team to ensure that all work within a specific area of the activity is carried out in an efficient manner, which is consistent with operating procedures and policy.
Budgeting and Financial Performance
Monitor the financial performance of a given area of activity versus budgets and ensure all activities are carried out in line with the approved guidelines while promptly reporting on any variances to management.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline
Uptime certification
Minimum Experience:
10 years of relevant experience
Experience in system design or project planning with emphasis on data centers mission critical project delivery
Job-Specific Skills (Generic / Technical):
