Reporting to General Counsel
Core Responsibilities:
To assist the General Counsel in providing legal support, services, and advice to Business Units, Support Services and Corporate Functions wherever required in negotiations of legal terms and conditions, in dealing with external counsel, banks, Dubai Real Estate Regulatory Authority, the Dubai Land Department, the Dubai Real Estate Corporation, and other competent authorities, as appropriate.
To involve review of contracts and other binding documentation, advice and action on contentious matters, transactional advice, preparation of contracts and templates.
To review and prepare contracts, templates, legal updates and other documentation, as well as provide strategic advice and act on contentious matters, transactional advice, and assist with compliance and risk policies/procedures.
To support commercial business units by providing complex legal expertise in areas of residential/commercial properties, real-estate etc
To advise on contentious disputes, settlements and litigation matters
To draft, review and update legal documentation, templates and presentations
To take the lead in legal negotiations and liaising with external counterparties, government agencies and other competent authorities
To supervise and monitor junior members of the legal risk & compliance department, and allocate work, workflow and co-ordinate department meetings
To review contracts received from third parties
To deal with confidential information and/or issues using discretion and judgment
Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in law/ legal service
Candidate must be available to join immediately
At least 8 to 10 years post qualification relevant experience, including demonstrated experience applying the principles of property, tenancy, civil and commercial, residential areas of law
Must be ready to join immediately
Excellent communication and written skills in English (Arabic will be an advantage)
