Total Annual Pay (fixed + performance linked) – $ 59,000 to $ 70,500 (depending on experience)

About the role

The successful candidate will develop and lead brands/product marketing programs across sub-Saharan Africa for prescription brands across anti-infective, anti-inflammatory, respiratory and gastro-enterology therapy areas.

Some of the key performance areas for the role are as under:

Contributes to AOP process by creating brand plans in-line with the overall marketing strategy and business performance targets

Ideates and implements creative promotional campaigns to boost brand/portfolio performance

Oversees implementation, marketing support and tracks performance against plan for assigned brands/portfolio globally by influencing relevant stakeholders

Supports the identification of new products for the relevant therapy area and owns the launch of assigned new products against defined measures of success

Collates, analyses and reports markets insights for assigned brand/products to stakeholders

Monitor consumer/customer/market needs, competition and performance for assigned brands/portfolio to proactively enable appropriate support from country marketing teams

Designs and supervises product training programs conducted regionally for field force to improve field force effectiveness for assigned brands

Leads vendor management activities such as managing existing relationships, identifying new vendors, assess bids, negotiations, etc. for marketing campaigns

Generates insights based on primary/secondary sales data to present monthly dashboard reports to stakeholders

Collaborates with other functions such as medical affairs, supply chain, finance, regulatory, etc. as needed to create synergy

Education and Experience needed:

Bachelor’s degree specializing in pharmacy/life sciences and master’s degree in marketing

Experience (8-10 years) launching and managing a large brand within a multi-country, matrix pharmaceutical company

Ability to succeed in a high-impact & influence individual contributor role

Self-starter with ability to stay independently motivated and deliver the assigned mandate

Experience working cross-culturally and cross-functionally with diverse colleagues

Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
