OverviewPresight AI is looking for an experienced professional Senior Database Administrator (DBA) with technical skills and knowledge that extends across Applications/ Server/ Storage/ Network technologies to administer a large, complex production DB environment. The role performs highly effective centralized database administration for multiple databases, troubleshoot and provide system level support/ guidance/ solutions to ensure a 24X7 operations of mission critical applications.

ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Senior Manager – Solution Architecture, your key responsibilities are:
Functional
Ensure DB availability 24X7 for mission critical applications.
Proactively manage and maintain security standards and controls. Implements and maintains database security and encryption
Actively seek to optimize and simplify DB architecture.
Take ownership of performance and capacity monitoring aspects of the DB.
Execute data migration jobs and scripts as required.
Assist the infrastructure team in sizing hardware used for the DB.
Support and collaborate with product developers. Contribute to the creation and maintenance of disaster recovery plans.
Create a reliable backup strategy, oversees backup, clustering, mirroring, replication and failover.
Determine and document DB policies, procedures and standards.
Performance testing and evaluation to ensure data security, privacy and integrity. Identification of bottle necks and deadlock issues.
Ensure SLA’s & operational KPI’s are met, working as necessary with internal and external support functions when major incidents occur.
Perform maintenance operations daily, weekly and monthly on Oracle and SQL servers and databases, and information systems for the purpose of ensuring efficient program operations.
Perform database backups and restorations, and recovers corrupted databases.
Evaluate and recommend new database technologies.
Develop, manage and test database and information system backup and recovery plans.
