Job Description

AECOM has a range of roles for experienced architects to manage the full spectrum of architecture design for different asset types across whole NEOM.Serves as a fully capable professional under the direct supervision of the Director of Architecture. Leads an architectural design management or review team for a NEOM Region or Regions and plans, schedules, organizes, coordinates and ensures the design work is executed on projects of all scales.Assist in developing NEOM architecture design style and ensures implementation across RegionsTeam leadership adopts creative and innovative solutions in managing the design and develops appropriate research and documentation to support technical solutions.Responsible to deliver the design of various architectural design typologies: hospitality, residential, civic and cultural, commercial, public, transport, healthcare, educational, etc.Manage architectural design consultants to deliver NEOM architectural content and contextSupervise or review the production of concept, preliminaries, developed and detailed designsActs as Lead Reviewer Assist in management and oversight of other Architects across different sectors/departmentsDevelop and review architectural asset briefsPrepare SoW, specifications, reports and related data tables.Manages preparation of and checks materials schedules and sample boards and mock-upsManage communication, coordination, and management of consultants, contractors, various NEOM departments/sectorsProduce deliverables in accordance with NEOM standards and policies.Essential Skills: Excellent conceptual and design skills, with emphasis on aesthetics Fluent in writing and speaking English, spoken and writtenExcellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills, communicating with clarity, purpose and accuracyFlexibility and attitude towards company objectives.Commitment to innovation and design excellenceOutstanding presentation skills.Excellent ability in Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, Adobe Suite; Grasshopper and V-Ray is a plus Solid knowledge of products, materials, zoning / building codes and construction methodsCapable of reviewing and editing a set of quality specificationsStrong organizational skills, ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines on budget and on timeProactive and self-motivated, with the ability to take initiative in response to direction from project managers, directors and partners

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 15+ years of post-undergraduate outstanding architectural design and management experienceProven related experience in an Architectural Practice, including management of international design consultants across sectors and typologiesDesign experience in various architectural types: residential, commercial, public, healthcare, educational, etc.Extensive project experience with emphasis on large projects and programsExperience in Middle East is highly appreciated Understanding of financial and commercial management of projects.Full understanding of risk management and ability to transmit the same to others.Understanding of scope definition and scope interface and ability to transmit the same to others.Full knowledge of international standards, policies, codes and procedures and ability to transmit the same to others.Knowledge of international and local codes, regulations and submission requirements.Developed knowledge of Sustainable Design principles. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: B.Arch or B.Sc. in Architecture from a recognized universityPostgraduate in Architecture or Urban DesignInternational accreditation (RIBA, AIA, or equivalent)The achievement of sustainability certificate
