The Senior Applications Engineer – Well Construction will play a vital role as Subject Matter Expert related to the Drilling & Completions operations.
Working closely with the Regional Sales & Operations team and interacting on regular basis with the various Product Lines related Engineering Departments, the Senior Applications Engineer – Well Construction will provide technical guidance & expertise to the Regional team, being responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
Sales & Operations Technical Support
Pre-Run Analysis: Drilling & Well Construction applications analysis, challenges identification, solutions implementation (including specific or combined technologies selection) & modelling, benefits assessment.
Customer interface: As part of the Customer experience, the regional Well construction UAE will represent Rubicon as technical expert in morning ops call, give technical presentations, support any technical requests related to Technical Proposals, Post-Run analysis & general technical presentations.
Occasionally, provide complement or back-up support to Product Line Corporate UAE in the case of new technologies to be implemented (modelling, field support, etc.) in the Region
Design Request: Conduct product design revision (new tools or modifications) to be implemented with Design Engineering teams.
Technical Proposal: Integration of Pre-Run analysis results, solutions description, operational recommendations.
Technical validation of purchase order form, ensuring the right tool is ordered for the right application.
Post-Run analysis: Detailed post-run investigations, oriented on both specific technology performance and global operations efficiency.
Case Studies: Promotion of technical materials for enhanced sales presentations & technical marketing
Field Operational Support
Review the operational run report, ensure data are coherent and properly stored into the application database.
Liaise with Field Services Engineers, getting the full job data prepared and operational guidelines reviewed before the operations.
Provide Field Service Support on rig location if necessary.
Building & Maintaining Regional Well Construction Application Knowledge
Provide Technical Training to Sales / UAE Team / Operations, Agents
Provide critical feedback to Engineering / Operations and global UAE Team using appropriate communication process (NCR’s,..)
Feed Corporate Application Engineering for further product development, drilling or completions related practices or modelling analysis requirements and opportunities.
Contribute to share the local experiences through specific applications snapshots, feeding Marketing department for case studies or technical papers.
Maintain the applications database up to date regarding the regional applications.
Customer Experience
Represent the organization in outside discussions and technical forums through presentations and authorship of relevant papers
Participate regularly in morning calls & operational meetings.
Deliver technical presentations, supporting technical proposals or post-run analysis in front of customers
