Marsh currently has an opportunity for an experienced Cargo practitioner to lead our Cargo proposition, including servicing of existing strategic & large accounts to build a strong and sustainable portfolio.

The role offers an exciting challenge and development opportunity to:

Contribute to the growth and retention of our existing Cargo business in the Region

Collaborate with the Marsh network and global practice hubs to deliver the best of Marsh to our clients. All in conjunction and under leadership of the Regional Marine Practice leader.

Key Responsibilities

STRATEGICLead the Cargo Proposition and take the ownership of delivering a heathy and stable client servicing portfolio

Assist the Regional Marine Practice Leader in developing Regional Marine Cargo business:

By working in collaboration with Marsh country offices in the Region.

By Working in collaboration with RMP and Corporate segments in the UAEImprove engagement with Tier 1 sales colleagues in the UAE, and support targeted prospecting.

Bring broad and fresh perspectives to our Clients and Prospects across the Region.

Hold bespoke webinars for Clients and Prospects as and when needed. Achieve a thorough understanding of changing insurance and risk market conditions and informs client teams and clients of major developments affecting various types of coverage.

Ensure team placements maintain compliance and regulatory requirements

Develop and maintain strong market relationships

To drive increased use of data and analytics in client conversations,FINANCIALFull accountability for setting and achieving client service revenue budget, including client retention and new and expanded business targets

Full responsibility for the delivery of financial commentary and variances reports and other financial information required within deadlines

Full responsibility for providing the necessary new business support and cross sell

Responsible for Sales and Marsh Force discipline to ensure accuracy in forecasting

ORGANIZATIONALMaintain monthly discussions to be aware, prevent and/or manage any personal or work related issue

Continuously developing Marine team knowledge by increasing interactions and product training with insurers

Participate in MMS leadership meetings to represent Marine Cargo practice for monthly/quarterly forecasting, budgeting exercise and other strategic projects

OPERATIONALIdentify and mitigate key inherent risks to Marsh’s objectives and regulatory risks, at the country and business unit level

Full responsibility for driving operational efficiencies, including the implementation of improved internal processes and systems manage NO

RequirementsInsurance  qualification (ACII)
At least 8 years managerial experience in Marine Insurance/Underwriting in the GCCOther languages is a plus

Ability tohandle multiple projects
