Job Summary

Complete quotes as either customer budget or accurate costing as a result of Strip & Inspect reports with an aim to be awarded orders for spares, rerates and overhauls. This person is expected to be technically proficient to determine manufacture/repair/purchase material decisions and provide technical specification to suppliers. Responsibilities include preparing, coordinating and issuing detailed customers quotes which should include engineering specification and quotations for equipment, parts and service for multiple branded pumps. This person will also assist with the creation of shop work instructions and procurement requisitions as a result of detailed tender.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

Prepares technical tenders for equipment parts and service for OEM and 3rd party pumps as either budget prices or detailed, accurate quotes as a result of the Strip report.

Coordinates and liaises between sales department and all other operational departments from initial tender, through completion of quotes post strip report until order placement.

Converts Use / Replace / Rework identification on Strip Report to procurement costing/recommendations

Produces work plans based on Strip reports and associated manufacturing documentation

Applies appropriate quality plan as per customer / internal requirements to the accurate quote.

Follows OEM instructions on maintenance methods, techniques or approaches.

Acts as the focal point for customer contact on managed projects

Supports implementation of improved processes and / or operational policies to maintain customer driven KPI’s on Quote Turnarounds.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Excellent technical capability / knowledge in repair and maintenance of rotating equipment

Able to specify processes for identified Rework parts from the Strip Report across a range of rotating equipment.

Commercially focused & proven track record of customer service ethos.

Proficient on reading of engineering drawings and specifications.

Ability to operate within commercial specification requirements, terms and conditions.

Communicates effectively with groups and individuals (both internally and externally), by telephone or in person, provides detailed information to ensure the best technical service possible and can tailor the approach to suit the level of technical competence.

Displays exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, even when handling multiple demands in a pressurized environment and has a proven track record of meeting high performance standards.

Communicates fluently (verbal and written) in English – essential

Possesses a valid Driving License converted for use in the Middle East – preferred

Education and Experience

HNC or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related field

3-5 years’ experience of customer service orientated organization, ideally within the Oil & Gas industry

Basic understanding of service contract management is desirable
