Priorities and Objectives
Ensure SAFETY at all times.
Effective Client Management, based on a man marking matrix as agreed with the project leadership team.
Develops and implements plans of action to meet client’s needs. Developing the client relationship/ developing a partnership as to meet client’s needs but keep company out of risk and in a profitable position.
Take responsibility of any special Site Logistics related engineering, design, location, or scale factors affecting the project, by monitoring packages and solving problems proactively.
Scrutinize contract documents and identify and interpret the implications of any special features. Ensuring the content of the contract is fully understood and eliminating any areas of risk by setting up procedures to do so.
Ensure Site Logistics are executed within the tender budget / allowances.
Ensure flawless implementation of the Project Logistics Management and Operations plans where relevant to delivery to site.
Ensure scheduling of the Site-relevant Logistics scope and workflow sequence, throughout the project. Ensure that the work is executed in accordance with the agreed integrated schedule.
Identify and account for any deviations from the programme and determine what corrective action is needed.
Ensure that a system for the recording and reporting of work is compiled and material and equipment movements are adhered to.
Effective management, assessment, and mitigation of risk (both threat and opportunity).
Manage all Site Logistics related interfaces both internally between disciplines, internally with the DTV based Project Logistics Teams (all elements) construction & projects and externally with Vendors and Clients.
Compliance with the company and Quality procedures.
Responsible for the development of his/her subordinates and their training to ensure maximum performance, by evaluating subordinates and ensuring their development by training them or sending them on training that is required.
Monitor and control sub-contractors and consultants by holding updated meetings regularly and monitoring progress and consult on any changes.
Ensure that sub-contractors to be used by the project team are properly assessed / approved, and that QA procedures are adhered to by sub-contractors.
Roles and Responsibility
Management of respective NGH Project Site Logistics related activities
Project Site related Logistics Contracts Management (Customs Clearance, Haulage from Port to site, timely unloading at site by Materials Management, pick up of empty containers for return to line)
Coordinate the interface between the DTV based Logistics team and the Site based Logistics Function.
Verification of compliance with the Site logistics requirements specified
Verification of capability and competence of site logistics staff and subcontractors employed for the execution of the proposed Site Logistics scope and related activities
Ensure Logistics Service Provider Compliance
Providing assurance to internal customers and contractors that all requirements are fully executed / fulfilled and on schedule
Complying with project logistics performance targets and indicators, and subsequently maintaining records, analyzing and reporting of the respective subcontractor’s performance
Manage Logistics coordination with other NGHP Elements (GHE/HIDIC/PWE) where activities clash or create a bottleneck at site/Port
Maintain a strong HSE awareness and technical safety in Logistics. Promote safe working practice within the teams at all work sites.
Provide support to subcontractors to ensure that common Logistics and contractual goals and objectives are achieved.
Manage the logistics Subcontractors’ reporting interfaces were relevant to Import Clearance and delivery to site.
Manage consistent application of the Air Products Logistics standards and compliance requirements across the Logistics Subcontractors
Capture Project Site Logistics Learning and best practices and share with regional Logistics staff
Participation in, or leading investigation of Site Logistics related incidents in the execution of the project related scope
Liaise compliantly and with integrity with Saudi authorities to deal with project site logistics related issues
Timely operational Site Logistics reporting (weekly & monthly) and
Attend monthly progress meetings on site in NEOM when required
Highlight any risks to achieving timely delivery of materials / equipment.
Ensure that all materials are delivered to site, ahead of the ROS date.
Promote and maintain strong Teamwork and Respect with/for all parties.
Maintain sound, workable inter-discipline communication and teamwork within the procurement team.
Maintain a strong EPC culture within the project (appreciation and effective communication with the respective parties – Logistics, construction, projects).
Ensure that the complete correct list of equipment and materials is provided for delivery planning purposes including all dimensions and weights.
Induction of all Site Logistics team members to the project on objectives, scope requirements, specification & code compliance, tender basis / allowances and technical contract obligations.
Ensure Logistics compliance with company IMS and procedures.
Sound understanding of multi-discipline environment
Qualifications & requirements
Experience: 10 years or more
Degree: Not required
Candidate requires :
10 years’ experience or more working for Tier1 Project Logistics companies, EPC Contractors, or O&G service companies mandatory
Experience in a lead role for 3 years or more mandatory
Experience with capital projects in KSA and or Middle East mandatory
Remote Site based experience mandatory
Multimodal experience mandatory
Out of Gauge cargo transportation mandatory
CILT not required but desirable
NEBOSH/IOSH not required but desirable
Logistics related degree desirable but not required
Fluency in English (written and spoken) mandatory, knowledge of Arabic a plus
