Job summary:

Projects Officer enables an environment where projects can run smoothly and effectively in order to deliver their objectives on time, to budget and at a high quality

Key responsibilities

Maintain and monitor project plans and project schedules, risks, dependencies, budget etc.

Developing project status reports

Coordinating project resources, equipment, logistics and information

Arranging and participating in meetings and workshops, taking notes/ minutes and actions

Updating and chasing actions and tasks to ensure progress is made in line with project deadlines

Ensuring projects adhere to required frameworks and templates and appropriate documentation is maintained for each project

Maintaining accurate, comprehensive and accessible manual and electronic filing of all project documentation

Creating and formatting project-related correspondence

Supporting all projects within the Division with key outputs as required, including business planning, procurement, financial tracking, managing receipts of work and internal audit activities

Relieving the team of any project related administrative tasks as required

Experience and skills:

Education and certifications

Bachelor Degree in Business Management, Project Management or other relevant field

Experience and skills

Minimum 5-years working experience, preferably supporting the planning and delivery of different types of project in large organisations with multiple external stakeholders

Experience of Programme Management Office (PMO)–type environments would be an advantage

Advanced ability to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders and suppliers to deliver expected results on time

Experience of delivering quality outputs in short timescales under pressure

Experience in analysis and summarising complex data sets would be an advantage

Excellent time management, organisation and prioritisation skills

A high attention to detail and accuracy is critical

A self-starting mindset, capable of taking initiatives and demonstrating problem-solving abilities is critical

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Fluent English & Arabic is essential

Excellent Microsoft PPT, Word and Excel is critical

Experience of project management tools, e.g. MS Project, would be an advantage

Previous experience of working in the region and knowledge of local culture would be an advantage

An interest in workers’ welfare and / or an associated subject would be an advantage

A positive attitude, with the ability to be adaptable and flexible, is required

Contract Duration:

Fixed 6 to 9 months
