Job Purpose
The production planning executive will be responsible for planning and executing jobs for production. In addition to that the position is responsible for Co-ordinating and expediting the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to daily and weekly production schedules.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Plans and prepares production schedules for the manufacturing of products and prioritizes job orders for production optimization.
Ensure daily production requirements are achieved to meet customer expectations.
Prepare and plan schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders.
Ensure timely, full and accurate communication with all relevant departments on any factors which impact delivery dates, commitments to customers, quality etc.
Prepare planned orders and purchase requests to obtain materials, tools, and equipment.
Develop long/short-range material requirement plan to identify manufacturing/purchasing requirements.
Determining raw materials and inventories needed to cover production demand.
Follow-up as required with all teams to expedite the flow of materials and documents to meet production schedule and customer expectations.
Interacts with shop floor management on a daily basis to resolve issues regarding planning and lead time efficiencies.
Planning and prioritizing operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay.
Expedites operations that delay schedules and alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
Data analysis and decision-making to support raw material supply and finished goods demand.
Obtain output information (number of finished products, percentage of defectives etc).
Maintaining records of production and preparing production and performance reports.
Produce weekly/monthly/yearly reports as required.
Experience Requirements
4+ years in a similar role in the packaging industry
Education Requirements
Minimum: Diploma in Industrial engineering/Production Engineering/ Printing Industry
Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial engineering
Skills Aabilibilities
High accuracy in planning skills
Good communication skills.
Attention to details
Possess internal customer relation skills
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP
