We are looking to hire aProcurement Category Specialist – Fit-Outwho will be responsible for theprocurement activities including planning, sourcing and contracts’ managementfor our client based in Dubai – one of the biggest semi-government organizations in the region
This is a contract role with the initial contract duration being 9 months and renewable based on performance
We are looking for a candidate with a strong procurement background and holding either aDegreein Engineering, Finance, business or in a related field with professional certifications such as CIPS
Key responsibilities:
· Manage Guide and monitor the execution of strategic and operational sourcing processes.
· Build and maintain stakeholder relationships both internally and externally.
· Meticulously maintain, process and update all documents in order to prepare reports, analyses presentations and contracts
· Liaise with the Fit-out Project Team to furnish them with tender documentation and pricing schedules.
· Monitor performance and compliance of vendors, lead and complete the tender commercial evaluation and analysis of returns
· Undertake the negotiation of contracts where there may be complex choices requiring full market analysis
· Ability to do what is best for the business by working effectively across boundaries
· Prepare the required documents, and review and process purchase requisitions
· Ability to make clear and realistic commitments and make plans to achieve these goals
· Conduct periodic market research and stay abreast on new products, equipment and services emerging in the market
· Mentor, challenge and grow staff within the procurement department
Knowledge, skills & experience:
· Degree inEngineering, Finance, Businessor relevant field
· Certification in any area for ongoing professional development or for mandatory purposes
·Professional Procurement Qualification (eg. CIPS)
· Minimum3-5 yearsof relevant job experience in the area of procurement specialist and supply chain with at least5-7 years of overall experience.
· Knowledge ofERP Systempreferably Oracle
· Experience in creatingprocurement framework and strategy
· Strong expertise in theend-to-end procurement process
· Strong experience innegotiatingand administering contracts, terms and conditions
· Proactive and results-oriented approach
· Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
· Ability to work under stress, handle difficult situations and decision making
· Very good communication and stakeholder’s management skills

Preference will be given to candidates available immediately or maximum 30 days after accepting the offer.
