An exciting opportunity is available at Sharjah English School for an innovative and highly-skilled primary class teacher with reponsibility for whole school Assessment.
The Head of Assessment will:
review and analyse assessment data at pupil, cohort and whole school level to ensure strategic development of the Primary school.
analyse and interpret relevant national, local and school data as well as research and inspection evidence, to inform policies, practices, targets and teaching methods.
monitor pupil progress on a termly basis and provide the Primary Leadership Team with summary information.
organise and lead training as well as support and advise on the management and implementation of assessment practice throughout the school.
This role is a full time teaching commitment. In addition, the Head of Assessment will:
be an outstanding classroom practitioner, skilled in adapting teaching to meet learners’ needs
demonstrate an in-depth and up to date knowledge of the English National Curriculum and possess the skills to innovate
have a strong personal presence and demonstrate high level interpersonal skills
have the ability to build effective working relationships with staff, parents and other stakeholders
Essential requirements:
A certified UK teaching qualification, at degree level such as B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE and Qualified Teacher Status (or equivalent)
At least three years of full-time classroom teaching experience.
Desirable:
An educational leadership qualification such as NPQML/ LT/ SL
