The Planning Engineer is to support in assisting overall project planning and control of AMC that ensure to meet the departmental objectives.
Managerial & Strategic Responsibilities:
Progress chaser, Scheduler and project controlling reporting.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and update development of various programs, including but limited to Master Program, Design Program, Procurement Program. Construction Program and Close-out Program.
Develop tools, reports and displays to improve control of project. This includes program analysis Planned Vs Actual, KPI’s for critical stages of developments and progress Curves.
Define design deliverable and establish method of monitoring consultants.
Liaise with Procurement team on all client direct vendors, follow-ups and coordination.
Preparation of Daily, Weekly and Monthly Progress Report and submission.
Assist and Lead cross-functional teams to develop process improvements.
Assist in research and analyzes data to develop/produce/refine forecast against planned.
Responsible for the overall evaluation and control of the assigned project schedules and performs schedule development, maintenance and monitoring of the planning/scheduling activities.
Reviews schedule data, identifies and acquires information needed to complete work logics to interface between assigned disciplines, specialties and/or projects.
Review contractors program and Claim digging to protect AMC interest.
Review of Contractors reports and coordinate with consultants / Contractors.
Identify significant supporting for all milestones and identify and develop critical path for each project team and activities.
Preparation of cash flow and tracking.
Window analysis, TIA’s implementation whenever required for project that support in protecting AMC interest.
Discuss Early warning to Sr. Planning Manager that can cause time and cost impact.
Maintain records of monitoring of the program to enable input and support and challenge consultant to evaluate any related Contractor claims and variations as considered necessary.
People Management Responsibility:
Maintain processes & reports integrated with all depts.
Coordinate, and follow up with internal and external stakeholders.
Coordination and liaise with sub-contractors and client direct vendors.
Review of external stakeholders’ deliverable and maintain track.
preparing Project Diagnosis reports & Deficiency reports.
Highlighting critical issues related to Execution, Technical, procurement, Engineering, and delayed areas.
Qualifications:
Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Construction Management.
Professional certificate in Planning PMI-SP, RMP or or equivalent certified training related to project planning and control.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Arabic.
Microsoft Office Professional suite and applications.
Training: Primavera P6, PMI, SP, RMP, Prince2, PMP
Experience:
Years pf Experience: 3-5 years.
Nature of Experience: Development/Fit-out Construction (preferable).
