Job Summary
The Planning Engineer is a key member of the supervision services team. He supports Project Managers and Associate Project Managers with planning activities pertaining to schedule and cost control throughout the project lifecycle. The jobholder also reviews and comments on contractors’ work programs and continuously monitors contractors’ activities against approved plans. The jobholder also supports Project Managers with the review, assessment and management of variations in project scopes. He develops periodic progress reports highlighting key project risks and deviations from plans in coordination with supervision teams. The jobholder shall stay abreast of the latest trends and developments in the construction management and planning space, and implement best practices, where applicable.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
PMP Certification is preferred
Chartered Professional Engineering certification or equivalent is preferred
7+ years of experience in the Architecture, Engineering and Planning Industry in a top tier regional / multinational consultancy firm
Demonstrated experience with management of project planning activities in large scale construction supervision projects
Demonstrated experience with utilization of latest construction management and planning software and tools
Experience within the Middle East
