Who are we?

We are Salesforce Advertising Studio. A part of the Salesforce Marketing Cloud, we are helping the biggest brands in the world revolutionise how they connect to their most valuable prospects and customers through advertising. Using Advertising Studio, our customers are able to activate their CRM data to power their advertising at scale, on a personalised 1:1 basis. And we build the tools so they can manage their ad campaigns, enhance their new customer acquisition, re-engage with their inactive customers and align their advertising with every channel.

What do we need?

We are looking for a Engineer/Senior Engineer/Lead Engineer who loves building great software, from databases to distributed systems, from SOLID to SOA, from DevOps to AWS. You’re not expected to be an expert in any of these areas but you enjoy learning about cutting-edge technology and you know what makes software great! You understand the importance of clean code and software architecture. You know why we need to keep our projects clean and well-structured, and that a robust suite of automated tests will help keep you sane! You have good experience of TDD but know there’s still a lot more to learn. You’ve got some good Agile experience, having probably tried Scrum or Kanban, and can talk about your experiences. You’ve worked out that one size never fits all and that the key to Agile is trying, learning and improving. And you’re interested in Product discovery, aware that we build the best software when getting valuable feedback from our users to drive our decision-making. And you like to have fun! You love building software because you enjoy it and know there are times to be pragmatic as well as crafting the perfect system. You like pairing with your colleagues because it’s fun learning together and have an interest in the community – from running brown-bags to writing the occasional blog post and attending or even speaking at conferences and meet-ups. And finally, you’re a champion for diversity – research shows us that a balanced team with differing backgrounds, gender and ethnicity brings more successful results. You recognise that we set a high bar for ourselves and that it’s ok to not to be the best in every one of these areas – but you love the idea of challenging yourself within a vibrant and forward-thinking company who genuinely wants to make the world a better place!

Skills and Responsibilities:

You will be a senior technologist within a small cross-functional Agile team, a 100% hands-on Engineer and proficient in Windows, .Net and SQL. You’ve been building in these technologies for at least 5 years although you might have an additional interest in non .Net and Open Source. You will support the Team Lead on technical implementation and help mentor the junior members of the group. You will lead by example, contributing high quality, fully automated tested production ready code and providing detailed feedback in code reviews. You will be resolving complex technical issues, developing relationships and pursuing innovation to improve system extensibility, availability and performance. Your team’s main responsibility will be building new features for the core of the Campaign Creation engine, with a particular focus on our relationship with Facebook. You will work closely with both internal and external engineering teams to achieve this. An advanced understanding of any of REST API development, distributed systems, DDD or BDD will be very beneficial.

What do you get?

In addition to an exciting environment to sharpen your sword in the technology areas mentioned above, you also get:

● A highly competitive salary, bonus and share scheme

● An extremely comprehensive benefits package

● Like-minded colleagues to help explore the boundaries of cutting-edge technology and Agile software engineering

● Annual education budget for training and conferences.

● Highly philanthropic company who invented and champions the 1:1:1 model. ● 7 days a year paid time off to spend volunteering for your favorite charitable causes

● Quarterly team events doing activities like go-karting, tree climbing, cookery classes etc..
