Remuneration
This full time consultant medical oncologist role is with one of Saudi Arabia’s major private healthcare providers offering acute and elective medical and surgical services to a large demographic in Saudi Arabia’s second largest city.
You will join a team of oncologists working in a general city based hospital with a large patient base and will work in well-equipped facilities with support from junior doctors and specialists.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
perform clinical duties in accordance with your assigned clinical privileges
assess patients thoroughly including their clinical socioeconomic psychological and functioning status in accordance with the hospital policies and document your assessments clearly in the patients’ medical records
develop a plan of care for patients using an evidence-based approach
be the team leader and the most responsible physician for all patients admitted as in patients under your name
respond to medical consultations and emergencies in a timely manner
conduct daily ward rounds saying all patients under your care
conduct outpatient clinics
participate in the on-call rota
work co-operatively with other specialists
Qualifications required for this position
medical degree recognised by the World Health Organisation
completed internship and residency in internal medicine with subspecialist training in oncology
postgraduate qualification or board certification in internal medicine and oncology accepted by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialities for a consultant licence
Arabic language fluency would be very helpful
