The Caterpillar Large Electric Power Solutions Division (LEPS) is seeking aMarketing Consultantto join their group located in Dubai, UAE.
As a Marketing Consultant, you will contribute in a specializedElectric Powercustomer industry where decisions and recommendations are made for strategic advantage and contribute to the division’s business and long-term leadership position. The position will provide regional stewardship for the Africa, Middle East, and Southeast Asia regions.
You will contribute to the future LEPS Diesel Product Definition and Strategy, driving the organization to maximize Caterpillar’s value to Electric Power customers and Caterpillar’s share of future market OPACC.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Conduct market research and analyze regional market opportunity, PINS, market competitive price, competitive landscape and regulatory trends to drive future product investments
Conduct market research and analyze market segmentation opportunities and requirements to drive future product investments
Drive product development and product improvement programs with process partners, including accountability for business case, product and sales support requirements management and value messaging
Collaborate closely with Large Electric Power sales managers to promote and obtain feedback on new product and sales support plans
Acquire and process feedback from the Electric Power sales teams, dealers, and customers to define new product recommendations, requirements and product improvements
Collaborate with design engineers and Technical Marketing to maximize the value of product development programs to the enterprise including driving favorable time to market, product cost and features, and early sales support
This position requires a person to communicate effectively across product, industry, dealer and/or customer audiences to gain understanding and acceptance of ideas and recommendations
This position requires the ability to work with people from many different backgrounds and cultures, internally and externally, with the appropriate influence and ability to resolve differences
Good human relations skills are required to develop a collaborative/cooperative work relationship with others inside and outside of Caterpillar. Requires some travel to understand regional or worldwide business conditions
4 year bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or Marketing field
At least 3 years of field or dealer experience
At least 3 years of industry experience in Large Electric Power
Top Candidates Will Also Have:
Experience developing business investment evaluations including discounted cash flow analyses – Proven competency in launching and delivering multiple projects/programs
Strong analytical skills to perform detailed analysis and prepare conclusions / recommendations
Proven ability to build strong interpersonal relationships, including record of influence / persuasion and constructively managing controversial situations
Thorough knowledge of company products and product applications
Job-related experience in the Middle East, Asia, and India
