Job Overview
The Regional Financial Controller will report directly to the Senior Director and will be responsible for end-to-end finance and accounting for 2 legal entities based out of Dubai and Saudi. This position will also be responsible for regulatory and Tax compliance in addition to providing support for Energy, Industrial and Automotive BU. This individual will hold responsibility for all statutory compliance for the legal entity such as employment, trade licence, etc. TE Connectivity’s Accounting Teams develop, implement and/or maintain one or more accounting systems: Journal entries, General Ledger, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, Revenue Reconciliation, Cash Flows, etc. in accordance with GAAP policies and procedures. They also design operational procedures and processes that meet audit standards and improve efficiency.
Job Responsibilities
Responsible for both US GAAP accounting and reporting for both the entities based in Dubai and Saudi
Responsible for both IRS accounting and audit for both the entities based in Dubai and Saudi and conclude the audit on a timely basis
Responsible for all tax compliance in UAE and Saudi
Treasury Management for the legal entities with close co-ordination with banks and TE Treasury
Working closely with the BU Controller, BU head and CFO to monitor and regulate performance, analyse results, suggest corrective measures
Be the Analytical lynchpin of the organisation and the “to go to person” in terms of business performance, both historical and future
Drive cost improvements, cash flow improvements and Product margin analysis
Drive Strategy and strategic Planning of the segment
Monthly business reviews
Support internal and External Audits with business forecast and insights
Prepare and Drive entity budget
Keep a close watch on all country specific update and change on various trade and tax regulations
What your background should look like:
Qualifications
5 – 7 years of experience in all facets of finance with main focus on reporting, analysis of large data in a complex business set-up. Experience in working with Global companies in the GCC region would be an advantage
Chartered Accountant, ICWA and MBA qualifications a distinct advantage
Key Requirements
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Comfort with various business stakeholders at senior level
Good interpersonal and team working ability
Strong analytical and reporting skills
Eye for details with strong data management skills
Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
Assertive, thinking out of the box and questioning ability
Good working knowledge in SAP preferred
