Job Description

The Manager is accountable for ensuring the alignment between Logistics Procurement strategy, the Business Plan, and critical segment and regional leadership Teams as well as communicating the long term logistics procurement vision and strategy, including creating multi-year supply chain strategic frameworks and roadmaps that address enterprise and business needs. The role is responsible for support spend between 30~40 million for Johnson & Johnson Companies with India as the primarily focused cluster but also the other 13 market across Asia Pacific as needed. The spend is of medium to high complexity and requires a collaboration with key stakeholders within the business to execute. The Manager is accountable for sourcing logistics solutions and services in partnership with stakeholders to deliver innovative capabilities, and services, across all sectors. The individual will collaborate with Global Category Leadership by giving input into category strategy development, maintaining key Regional Stakeholder relationships within the business and managing key Regional supplier relationships. This individual will identify, develop and direct the implementation of Procurement goals and strategy and deliver against targets for financial performance, quality, and service and compliance adherence. The Regional Manager – GLP’s scope of responsibilities include: Execute Global Categories vision, strategy and implementation plan for a Logistics category that will effectively meet the long-range requirements of the business partners and deliver the maximum value for J&J  Interface directly with CEO’s and other Regional supplier leadership to assure alignment of J&J’s objectives are met, including quality, reliability, innovation, and cost Develop and manage internal and external partnerships by demonstrating strong leadership, project management, partnership, analytical, and communication skills Apply strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, in order to build relationships and understand customer needs Demonstrate the ability to develop a regional execution plan relevant to their mode(s) of ownership Effectively manage the strategic relationship with external suppliers Develop and convey mode expertise in order to identify and implement cost and/or service improvements Lead cyclical sourcing event, as well as mid-contract negotiations as needed Keep up to date on mode and overall industry and communicate industry updates to business partners Lead cyclical sourcing event, as well as mid-contract negotiations as needed Participate in industry professional organizations The Franchise Engagement Lead’s scope of responsibilities include: Communicate the Procurement vision for, with and through the stakeholder community Engage with segment and cluster Stakeholders with P&L responsibility, including Segment and functional leaders to drive business planning and major decision making across all relevant category families Understand long range requirements of the business partners and engage in strategic planning and partnering to ensure alignment. This includes regional segment budget review and development Support the Business Engagement lead on overall Deliver strategy Deliver on financial, service, reliability, quality, innovation, and growth commitments Identifies business demand requirements and partners with Category Leads to deliver annual value improvements and drives competitive advantage Build and maintain relationships throughout J&J that results in dynamic interactive dialogue on a broad range of perspectives and information critical to the development of optimal approaches and solutions Continuously monitors the needs of the business to make sure their requirements are met Develop deep supplier relationships with strategic suppliers to drive end to end value and bring innovation to the business Escalate issues that may impact the Global Procurement organization Major Duties & Responsibilities: 50% – Execution of category strategies to include sourcing strategy execution, supplier negotiations, sourcing events contract implementation and performance against established targets 30% – Act a single point of contract in the India Cluster to manage & prioritize portfolio of Procurement segment (Pharm, MD and/or Consumer Health, Vision Care) specific initiatives, collaborate in business planning and provide procurement updates to segment leaders. This may include any identified cluster/country partner interface for procurement collaboration 10% – Manage supplier relationships, communicate changes to category strategy, execute joint collaborative initiatives, and monitor supplier contracts 5% – Support Supply Chain Procurement initiatives as identified for the region – sustainability, Libertas, etc. 5% – Any identified regional priorities or GLP projects as assigned Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences or related fields More than 10 years of relevant experience in Procurement, Logistics, Supply Chain in relevant industries (Consumer Health, Pharmaceuticals, Medical Devices) Primary Location India-Maharashtra-Greater Mumbai- Organization Johnson & Johnson Private Limited (8080) Job Function Operations Requisition ID 2206022412W
