Logistics Portfolio Lead Job in Dubai, UAE at Avertra

Job Description


The main objective of the Logistics Portfolio Lead is to help grow and foster a positive working relationship with Avertra’s VIP logistics clients. You are expected to act as a thought leader while helping our client’s C’ levels determine enterprise strategies in the areas of e-commerce, last mile delivery, freight forwarding, and crowdsourcing. You will need to have Logistics Industry experience, preferably expert level knowledge in multinational cross border processes. You will be working on the client’s site in UAE to manage Avertra’s portfolio while helping grow this portfolio through continuous client meetings, to assist in problem solving and drive portfolio growth. We are looking for a hands-on leader with a strong personality and the ability to manage multiple moving parts. 


  • P&L responsibility for our services in the logistics space
  • Be the main point of contact with the client and acting as the middle man between Avertra and the client.
  • Drive +25% YoY growth in our logistics vertical offering
  • Participate in sales and pre-sales activities 
  • Ensure our SOW’s are being met by our team and the client responsibilities are also met
  • Handle inquiries concerning billing issues, on-going project issues and general questions providing prompt knowledgeable responses.
  • Upsell Avertra products/services to the client by researching areas of improvement and making a sales pitch
  • Work with Avertra’s Product, Marketing, and Sales teams to develop  presentation materials and strategy commentary. 
  • Play an important role in editing RFP’s/RFI’s.
  • Manage and build client relationship by spearheading all scheduled and ad hoc interactions (phone and email), conducting in person portfolio discussions and initiating social opportunities
  • Make daily, weekly, monthly outgoing calls and meetings with the client to ensure satisfaction.
  • Present reports and quarterly business reviews to customers and Avertra executives as requested
  • Meet/exceed expected reliability standards
  • Keep customer information updated on assigned accounts and stay abreast of customer needs/changes

  • Research/Analysis & Reporting: Strong research, mathematical and quantitative analysis skills to analyze market and financial data and make projections
  • Data Interpretation, Sense-making & Communication: Ability to synthesize complex data from multiple sources and create clear, informative reports
  • Relationship Management Skills: Build trust with clients and develop strong networks of expertise


  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or any relevant field


  • 8+ years of experience in the Logistics industry, preferably in portfolio management.
  • Experience in Portfolio Management


  • Outstanding presentation and communication skills, particularly via phone/video  
  • Exceptional client service/relationship building skills and demeanor
  • Experience in creating RFP’s
  • Logistics industry experience is a MUST
