Job Description
Reporting to the VP of Legal and GC
Form effective relationships with other department leaders
Form strategies to enhance the legal function and efficiency of the team
General commercial drafting (service, supply, consultancy, framework, settlement, NDAs, novation, sponsorship and management agreements)
Drafting leases and licenses and minor works construction agreements
Managing insurance related matters
Reviewing and advising upon due diligence and corporate governance matters
General advisory role across all functions, including
Preparing corporate documents
Creating reports to advise the company on legal risk/report on strategy
Managing external legal counsel
Managing claims/potential litigation including IP infringement
Liaising with the Procurement department to set strategy
Participating in projects
Review of company policies
Essential:
LLB, JD or equivalent
Admitted as a lawyer/solicitor in UAE or another jurisdiction
At least 5 to 7 years PQE (post-qualification experience), or equivalent
At least 2 years in-house, in a commercial environment in UAE
Desirable:
Post graduate diploma
LLM
Previous experience of managing a legal function in house
