Summary:As a Lead Video Editor you will lead and oversee all aspects of post-production, and work closely with the Creative and Production teams on executing campaign shoots across the portfolio of Huda Beauty brands. In this role, you will support and manage the post-production department, which consists of a team of three video editors. We are looking for someone who has strong experience with the editing process across various formats, a deep knowledge of overall post-production processes, and strong time management skills while working within a fast-paced production environment. The Lead Video Editor should be able to work independently and as part of the team: leading post-production projects, collaborating with the team for ideas generation and executional plans, and working closely with the Producer to enhance the quality of work and efficiency with deadlines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead, plan, and manage post-production on a full slate of video projects
Responsible for creating processes and workflows to guide team members to success
Shoot social video content for Instagram, Tik Tok and YouTube
Manage and mentor a team of three video editors
Directly overseeing post-production processes and workflows while collaborating with the team on branded storytelling and ensuring the delivery of best-in-class assets
Managing multiple high-priority projects simultaneously during various stages of post-production
Identifying areas where post-production can improve and helping to implement these changes
Oversee and maintain studio video equipment
Work closely with the Producer on building an efficient workflow and project tracking process to achieve efficiency with deadlines
Requirements:
4-5 years of experience in a post-production management role or related field
A great understanding of all areas of post-production including editing/ color grading/ VFX/ sound design
Previous experience editing / shooting beauty is highly beneficial
Thorough understanding of production and post-production workflows
Proven ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously
Previous experience in working in post-production house, agency, or in-house brand
Experience in managing a team & supporting them in their development
Technical acumen to be able to operate, configure, set up, and fix video, audio, lighting, or other production equipment
Great knowledge of editing softwares (Premier Pro is a must)
Excellent interpersonal skills, creativity, and attention to detail
Proficiency with camera equipment
