Institutional Research Specialist Job in Doha, Qatar at College of the North Atlantic – Qatar
The College of the North Atlantic – Qatar is inviting nominations and applications for the position of Institutional Research Specialist in the Institutional Excellence Department. Reporting to the Institutional Research Manager. The Institutional Research Specialist must be a proven leader with the skills and expertise necessary to support the Institutional Excellence Department in fully implementing the College’s mission and vision.

Duties & Responsibilities:
This position requires an energetic and enthusiastic individual who will gather, analyze and report data on students’ experience, admission and enrollment, and on faculty, staff, and institutional trends to support CNA-Q’s strategic goals.
Candidates should have an outstanding record of industry experience, and possess the qualifications necessary to be successful in the role of Institutional Research Specialist at the College of the North Atlantic-Qatar. The Institutional Research Specialist is responsible to support the Institutional Excellence Department with the development of CNA-Q’s strategic and operational plans.
The successful candidate will conduct extensive research on key institutional issues which are identified to be of high priority and strategic nature and present / document / explain findings of such research to the relevant stakeholders. The successful candidate will develop and maintain reports as required by the College and government entities / ministries on a regular basis.
Designing survey instruments, conducting testing of surveys prior to release and being responsible for follow up on survey responses and the ability to handle queries of survey participants is another key function of this role.
Another important function of this role is to collect and interpret data by utilizing statistical methodologies and analytical procedures with the aim to support for strategic decisions at the College as well as preparing reports with graphical representation of data in the form of table, graphs, dashboard with detailed analysis.
The successful candidate will analyze quantitative and qualitative data from CNA-Q schools and departments in a timely, effective and efficient manner and gather and report on data related to student applications, admission and enrollment, enrollment patterns, tuition and fees, and enrolment peer comparisons to recognize and act on trends or issues affecting CNA’Q enrolment and enrolment initiatives. This will include gathering and reporting on student experience and outcomes, e.g. student profiles, retention and graduation rates, employment outcomes, program outcomes, etc.
The successful candidate will adopt research and research methodologies essential for gathering, maintaining, and reporting institutional data (i.e. market trends and student information) to better evaluate and modify CNA-Q’s operational and strategic planning goals.
The successful candidate will conduct external research and surveys to benchmark CNA-Q’s institutional performance and compare to that of similar organizations.
The successful candidate will gather and maintain information about students and faculty by year for insertion to CNA-Q’s Fact Book.
Education and Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Institutional Research or relevant field
Fluency in written and spoken English language
Fluency in written and spoken Arabic is an asset
Other Required Skills:
Strong leadership skills with a desire to achieve organizational success and to lead by example is required. A proactive can-do attitude to work and good time management skill is essential.
The candidate should have the ability to anticipate change and effectively manage quality and risk at all times. Commitment to positive relationship building and effective working relationships across all levels of the organisations is required. Advanced skills in Institutional Research with demonstrated knowledge of performance analysis and reporting is required. A commitment to ongoing professional and self-development especially in the area of Institutional Research and continuous professional development. Candidates should demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills as well as fluency in English language.
