Responsibilities
Serve as the PM’s Senior Representative in all matters related to the management of the construction of the infrastructure works.
Participate in the preconstruction activities of the infrastructure works such as tendering and prequalification process.
Manage and administer the infrastructure activities of contractors through the Infrastructure Engineer, including general direction and coordination of all independent contractors on the site.
Oversee the performance of the supervision consultants, ensuring that quality control procedures and requirements are being implemented.
Coordinate the works of all site infrastructure activities with the client, contractor, and consultants.
Establish, manage, and refine the administrative and operational procedures for the project in the field and monitor the Project Execution Plan.
Monitor the contractor’s field progress of the infrastructure works through actual logging of daily work by the Infrastructure Engineer.
Assist the PCS and QS teams in the finalization of the contractor’s claims.
Preside at weekly reviews, and monthly, and other progress meetings held at the site. Review the contractor’s progress. Help resolve deficiencies to achieve milestones.
Review and certify contractor’s monthly payments, assist & liaison with another department in finalizing all issues related to infrastructure work (IT technical evaluation, claim, etc.)
Contribute relevant data to the PM monthly report and special reports as necessary.
Enforce the provisions of the contract documents for accuracy and adequacy prior to submission to the client.
Participate in the technical evaluation of claims. Prepare recommendations concerning their resolution.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent.
A postgraduate degree in Engineering or an MBA will be considered a plus.
15 years of experience and a min. of 5 years of working experience in similar roles within a PMC.
PMP, PMI, CIOB, or equivalent certification is strongly preferred.
Strong track record in delivering projects in a fast-moving and challenging environment.
Proven experience in building and leading high-performing teams.
Computer literate in Microsoft Office applications, including excel and word.
Excellent command of written and spoken English & Arabic.
