The role of the HSE Trainer is to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of the HSE Department in relation to the Company Core Process; thus directly impacting the delivery of guest and colleague experience.
This position coordinates within the department by providing HSE training support to all Farah Colleagues and contractors.
In order to be considered for this role you must be able to:
Provide training services to support the elements HSE Management System. Includes training related to Occupational Safety, Emergency Services, Health, Environment, and Risk.
Provide ADVETI approved training in house.
Conducts training needs analysis for employees and contractors related to HSE Policy and Procedures. Develops, implements, and conducts appropriate training programs to support identified needs.
Assists in the development of appropriate mandatory HSE training matrixes for all employees and contractors
Maintains a documented inventory of HSE training including specifications, requirements, curriculum, etc. Ensures that an accurate database of HSE training is maintained against all employees and contractors.
Regularly evaluates the effectiveness of HSE training and develops appropriate training solutions/changes to ensure a high level of quality and competency.
Identifies, implements and maintains appropriate training facilities, materials, and resources to support HSE training needs. Plan and submit budgets for appropriate Departmental spending.
Submit regular reports to the HSE Director on the status of the HSE training program. Analyze trends and make recommendations for improvement.
Support the development and implementation of integrated management systems. Ensure HSE training complies with ISO standards.
Uploading and editing of documents on document center.
Coordination with HR on colleague related matters and extending support on maintenance recruitments.
Oversee and manage HSE related trackers to ensure all the information is available.
Support general work permit processing and provide contractor site induction.
Filing and updating the required documents.
Raising PR’s in Oracle, printing of PO’s.
Support for training nominations (internal and external) – scheduling on LMS.
Tracking, consolidation, GTR update, filing and coordination of training trackers.
Manage and deliver the HSE induction to new colleagues and contractors
Support events as required
Assisting with contractor inspection and PTW spot checks
You must also have:
Graduate education in related Technical, Biological, Humanities or other similar qualification.
Recognized technical certification in Safety Management Systems
5 years relevant experience associated with delivery of HSE related training and implementation of safety management systems including exposure to international management system standards such as ISO – 45001.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of operating standard office equipment.
Excellent communication skills – written and verbal.
Good English skills – written and verbal.
