ROLE PURPOSE :
The HSE Officer is responsible for meeting HSE requirements in all Assystem Offices and liaison with Safety Committee on HSE management issues.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:
· Ensuring implementation of the company’s HSE Management systems.
· Coordinate training programs: continually maintain an appropriate level of awareness, knowledge, and preparedness across the organization, and coordinate training programs for employees.
· Ensure that employees are aware of relevant Health, Safety, and Environmental statutory compliance requirements and have systems in place to ensure compliance.
· Assist the HSEQ Manager in setting, monitoring & reporting on HSE objectives & targets.
· Provide and/or present HSE reports (weekly, monthly).
· Ensure compliance with procedures and policies.
· Participate in incident investigation with HSE personnel and Management, as required.
· Ensure completion and facilitation of internal and external audit requirements.
· Provide feedback and coaching as a part of audit de-briefs, and follow up non-conformance to effective closure with project personnel.
· Lead/Assist in the development of project-specific HSE plans, policies & procedures.
· Schedule and deliver HSE training as required and in accordance with procedures, standards, and legislation.
Provide out-of-hours support for emergencies and events.

Qualifications:NEBOSH Certificate/ NVQ OHS or equivalent
+ Tertiary qualifications in Health & Safety and / or Environment
Affiliations:Technician member of IOSH (Tech IOSH)
Experience:Preferably+1 year, worked within Oil & Gas, Nuclear, PMC or EPCs and construction/project completion
Job-Specific Skills:
Strong ability to influence and manage expectations.
Knowledge of all relevant Safety and Environmental Legislation & Standards and Compliance Management statutory requirements relating to local, Regional and International locations of operations
Experience working with integrated management systems.
