Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
Carry out the day-to-day operations of HSE department and contribute to the application of effective. Health, Safety and Environmental management by providing technical support.
Maintain relevant HSE logs and documentation.
Assist in the compliance of applicable laws and regulations.
Prepare applicable HSE reports as necessary.
Provide assistance and advice on HSE issues to make recommendations to facility management.
Participate in detailed incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis.
Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management.
Promote incident prevention for the benefit of employees and visitors.
Provide induction for all new employees on HSE topics.
Educate and train all employees to embrace environment, health and safety policies, practices and procedures.
Ensure that all activities are carried out in a healthy, safe and environmentally responsible manner.
Maintain positive and proactive relations with managers and employees, as well as customers and regulatory agencies.
Observe HE regulations, wears all required safety equipment, encourages workers for safe working practices, corrects obvious hazards immediately or reports them to the proper personnel.
Act as a member of the safety committee.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Qualifications
Graduate in safety management, engineering or relevant field is preferred.
Certificate in occupational health and safety (OSHAS) / (NEBOSH)
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain health and safety topics.
Should be able to work independently or a part of a team.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
Proficient in MS Office; Working knowledge of safety management information systems is a plus.
Skills
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Have Certificate in occupational health and safety (OSHAS) / (NEBOSH).
Education
Safety Management, Engineering or relevant field.
