Position: Hostess for the Waldorf Astoria International Financial Centre
A Hostess for the Waldorf Astoria Dubai International Financial Centre is the first point of contact of our restaurants and is responsible to serve guests in a friendly, timely and efficient manner to ensure an excellent guest experience. What will I be doing? As a Hostess for the Waldorf Astoria Dubai International Financial Centre you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Extend a warm welcome to all guests arriving to the outlet. Escorting the guests to their table and presenting the menu. Ensure extensive knowledge of menu and all outlet products. Manage guest queries in a friendly, timely and efficient manner. Follow correct reporting procedures, if faced with difficulties. Maintain highest level of grooming including uniform dress code, cleanliness and personal hygiene.
Answering phone calls courteously and promptly, taking messages as necessary, which are legible and accurate and passing them on to the concerned person without delay. Receiving and confirming restaurant reservations, while adhering to the telephone etiquette and paying high attention to any preferences, dietary or allergy requirements. Ensure that any guest preferences or special occasions communicated during the restaurant booking are cascaded with the team.
Engage with the guests and assist in providing each guest with a tailored guest experience, based on their needs and preferences. Ensure excellent knowledge of the restaurant’s sitting arrangements. Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation. What are we looking for? It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions: Experience in Food and Beverage department and/or industry. Previous work experience within a luxury environment. Previous experience of cash handling. Knowledge of Food Hygiene Regulations. Any additional language written and spoken.
