The Health and Safety Manager will collaborate with the relevant stakeholders in identifying risk factors, assessing risks and identifying measures for the safety and health of the workplace in compliance with current legislation on the basis of specific knowledge and company organization.

The primary activities will include:

DELIVERY-Coordinate safety, prevention and risk assessment activities, identifying the most appropriate measures to ensure the safety and healthiness of the workplace.

-Ensure and monitor legal compliance with local and local Health and Safety legislation.

-Develop Retail & Corporate Health and Safety policies and standards, providing expertise on all H&

S compliance matters.

-Develop procedures, protocols and safety operating instructions for stores’ activities.

-Risk assessment and management across Retail and Corporate locations – arranging and implementing actions from internal and external risk assessments.

-Ensure all Retail and Corporate employees within the Hub are aware of and adhere to health and safety regulations.

-Maintain relations with the competent local bodies and administrations regarding the safety of workers and the environment (eg certification bodies).

-Implement and monitor Health and Safety Management Systems.

-Lead engagement of the workforce on behavioural safety. Improving safety culture and driving continual enhancement.

-Propose, arrange and monitor H&

S trainings and H&

S programs for all employees-Guide and support the business on audit preparation.

-Assess adequacy of, and monitor remediation action, assess documentation for claims defensibility purposes and ensure learning lessons are communicated to the business and colleagues.

-Carry out inspections as part of safety compliance.

-Incident investigations with employees and any other third parties aiming to ensure actions are taken to prevent a recurrence.

-Primary Authority relationships and fire authority partnership.

-Health and Safety Gap analysis.

-Maintain safety data sheets and documents. CONSULTANT-Be the “Health and Safety” partner for the General Manager and the Head of HR.

-Provide effective recommendations and solutions to meet Health and Safety needs continually providing H&

S advice and regular communication on ongoing best practices.

-Manage relations with consulting companies.

STAKEHOLDERS MANAGEMENT-Manage the relationships between the business owners and the Health and Safety function.

-Work closely with key stakeholders to deliver on H&

S strategy.

-Produce regular reports to the business including; incident statistical and trend analysis, monthly safety briefs, learning lessons, audit progress/ results, statutory inspections results and senior leadership update.

COMMUNICATIONS-Communicate across different functions of the organization.

-Be a Change Management leader for all Health and Safety processes and Retail evolution.

-Spread the culture of safety through the structuring of necessary training interventions.

-Ensure any Health and Safety training content and delivery is up to date and relevant.



S General Certificate (Level 3) as a minimum requirement (NEBOSH). Member of IOSH.

-Previous experience in Health & Safety management with a proven track record of managing H&

S in a multi-site organisation (Corporate & Retail)-Knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation across Middle East.
