POSITION OBJECTIVE
The job holder will be responsible for managing smooth logistics operations across KSA and providing strategic inputs on routing strategy, transportation planning, mode of transportation and warehouse setup.
DO — Key Responsibilities
1.
Logistics Planning, Budgeting and Optimization
Assess the business requirement in line with the business plan and forecast Logistics Infrastructure & Planning requirements for the following year
Provide critical operational inputs to the Group Head Supply Chain Operations – Fashion Division in order to support formulation of corporate level annual distribution & logistics budgetary guidelines
Develop and implement the Logistics Infrastructure & planning guidelines and cascade it across levels
Seek inputs from varied sources such as other function owners, competitor information etc. to help optimize the logistics costs
Provide upward feedback on the performance of the existing processes
Evaluate strategic tie ups with logistics service providers for support on parts of the logistics value chain that are outsourced
Provide inputs and business cases for engaging outsourced vendors
Drive the process for identification and selection of appropriate partners
Ensure cross-pollination of supply chain practices across concepts
Ensure risk management across all Sites
Strengthen the logistics function to prepare the organization to meet next level of growth
Build the expertise within the function to enable seamless integration with other aspects of overall business operations

Logistics Infrastructure Setup
Identify distribution centre location to ensure smooth and cost effective flow of inventory from DC’s to the stores
Identify locations for storage of goods at different points of the supply chain
Develop transportation plans – routing and alternate mode of transport to ensure network optimization in KSA

Logistics Operations
Ensure logistics processes are well implemented under company policy without any breaches
Handle Management Information system and productivity reports
Identify/report exceptions to policy and procedure and prepare action plan
Monitor all critical SLA’s & Inventory hygiene.
Follow up on damages and investigate the reason for the damaged goods and submit a report
Support various business improvement projects .
Ensure optimal utilization of transportation space and utilizing truck space by 100% and ensuring FTL (or Full Truck Loads)
Monitor and manage smooth logistics operations across DC’s.
Provide guidance and support to DC’s logistics teams

People Management
Manage and support recruitment
Monitor team development and facilitate complaint resolution
Set KRA’s for direct reports and conduct performance appraisal
Oversee staff deployment and drive motivation levels of the direct reportees
DISPLAY
QUALIFICATION
Basic Qualification / Education / Vocational Training
Graduate degree in Engineering
Advanced
Qualification / Certification / Specialist Training
Post-graduate degree in Operations Management or Inventory Management essential
EXPERIENCE
Minimum Experience
10 years of experience in supply chain management capacity
