HEAD OF FINANCE AND DISTRIBUTION (29979) Job Description

Job Description :

A leading pharmaceutical company in Dubai is looking for a CA / ACCA qualified Head of Finance and Distribution.

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities:


Planning

Assist in formulating the company’s future direction and supporting tactical initiatives.

Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans.

Develop financial and commercial strategies.

Develop performance measures that support the company’s strategic direction..

Operations

Direct and oversee all aspects of the Finance & Accounting, Distribution (warehouse; customer services) and Procurement functions of the organization.

Direct and coordinate company financial planning and budget management functions.

Ensure timely preparation of annual budget of the company in coordination with the General Manager and other Division Heads for discussion with the management and finally approval of the Board of Directors.


Ensure company budgets, periodic forecasts (F1, F2) are submitted to the holding company within the communicated timeline and in the prescribed formats.

Supervise the preparation and regular updating of the companys long range (five year) business plan in tune with organizational objectives.

Maintain close coordination with other division heads to ensure reliability of the plan.

Review monthly results with focus on monthly variance analysis / reporting as compared to budget.

Recommend/ discuss corrective action plan with team members and other division managers.

Ensure timely preparation and review of periodic financial outlooks and financial forecasts.

Regularly review the business and revenue model of the company by market and guide the General Manager on product and overall geographic profitability.

Financially review and guide the General Manager on business development activities including preparing feasibility reports on new product development / launch, entry into new markets, strategic tie-ups, capital expenditure etc.

Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive management team.

Review and finalize all commercial contracts including distributorship agreements, product development / acquisition agreements, custom manufacturing agreements, long term purchase agreements etc.

Provide executive management with advice on the financial implications of business activities.

Ensure all internal and external reporting are completed on time and with accuracy.

Financial Information

Oversee the issuance of financial information; ensure necessary systems / controls are in place for timely and accurate compilation of financial results.

Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with group and internal financial and accounting policies and procedures.

Direct and coordinate statutory / financial audit to ensure timely finalization of the annual financial statements of the company in compliance with IFRS.

Report financial results to the board of directors.

Distribution Management

Supervise and control the commercial supply chain team and activity progress.

Implement Key Performance Indicators as set up with Commercial and Industrial Affairs departments.

Manage warehouse team activities & KPIs.
