Position:  HEAD INTERNAL AUDITOR
A well-established international bank requires a Head Internal Auditor with a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in conducting an audit of organizational activities and evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of management controls over those activities to ensure that risks are eliminated/ minimized/ mitigated for business continuity.

External Interfaces:
Central Bank and other regulatory bodies

Internal Interfaces:
All Internal departments.

Key Result Areas:

Assess inherent control risks of company’s business activities

Design and perform compliance and substantive audit procedures

Report on efficiency and effectiveness of the internal control system

Regularly communicate with the Compliance Team.

Report on Final Audit to Representative at Corporate Office.

Key Deliverables:

Audit Planning

Identify and describe business activities that expose company to risks and establish inherent risk level of each of the risk level identified

Develop an audit checklist based on risk level identified

Create a Risk Matrix which classifies all risks based on, Likelihood, Impact, and velocity

Classify identified risks within tolerance/acceptable/no-tolerable limits.

Audit Visit

Assign task to members of the Internal Audit team

Frequently visit each Branch, document deviation for audit reporting

Prepare a risk register, and update risk found during audit visits

Develop a risk mitigation plan for each risk aspect discovered during the audit visit

Investigate root cause of deviations

Prepare internal audit report, submit to Representative at Corporate Office and Country

Manager on a monthly basis.

Other

Duties:

Act as ICSS supervisor

Work as a member of the investment committee, procurement committee, and recruitment committee.

Education, Experience &

Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Management or equivalent.

Master’s degree in Business Management is preferred.

A minimum of ten(10) years of relevant experience with at least 8 years in a similar role.

Advanced oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills in English and Arabic

The ability to ask the right questions and remain independent

Excellent communication and influencing skills including negotiating and contracting

Proficiency in MS Office, with good analytical abilities and presentation skills
