DescriptionAldar Education is currently seeking a to support our growing family of owned and operated schools in the UAE. Due to planned current and future expansion we are looking to add to our current HQ Operations team supporting our British, US and IB curricula network of schools. Successful candidates will combine excellent track records of effective management experience developed in the UAE, UK, USA or other international setting and specifically government relations knowledge, developed in the UAE with strong inter-personal skills and cultural awareness with the ability to manage the demands and needs of a wide range of stakeholders including Principals, employees and senior management. Exceptional bilingual communication skills combined with being a visible leader and ambassador for the company are central to this role, as is a good grasp of the commercial demands of a private school setting. The role requires strategic thinking combined with a firm grasp of how to ensure outstanding operational standards across the school. The position will report into the Director of Operations and form part of the HQ Operations Leadership Team to support the development of the Operations, Administration and Support Services teams across the group. A strong public/government relations background is essential as this role will support the HQ functions in implementing and developing group wide operational strategy and policy.The successful candidates will be closely aligned with our core values and ethos and possess a genuine understanding and appreciation of the values of the region. As a member of the HQ operations leadership team, directly supporting the Director of Operations, the Group Head – Public Relations will be fully responsible to effectively lead all government relations, visa, licensing, insurance and ADEK related activities and ensure the school(s) complies with all Aldar Education policy, procedures, HSE, audit and regulatory directives within the group operations. • Ensure effective management of company’s public relation requirements and effectively arrange quotas for residency permits for staff and their families where required.• Allocate PRO support across the organisation.• Lead the overall public relations activities of the organisation.• Plan and develop public relations internal and external programs and policies, maintaining employee, public, and shareholder interest and understanding.• Assist in identifying the strategic objectives for public relations and communicate those objectives effectively to the team• Managing the residence, employment & visit visa applications, renewals/extensions, cancellations & transfer including employee’s family for immigration and labour.• In line with government guidance, ensure all employees hold ADEK and Security clearance prior to working within the schools.• Plans and implements public relations programs designed to create and maintain favourable public image for the organisation.• Arrange reports as requested including quota volumes and sources, application success rates and rejection factors, etc. • Receive requests from schools to renew the school-based licensing such as commercial, civil defence, clinic, catering etc completing in a timely manner in order to secure each schools ADEK license.• Renew the commercial license of…
