A Floor Manager represents a Unit leader – responsible for the overall performance of the Store / Sales Unit under him in the absence of store manager and support store manager. Primarily an execution position – the FM is responsible for Topline, Staff Management (admin & Functional) , Reporting & Ensuring the sanctity of the stocks and assets under supervision.
Deliver the store Sales – Daily / Weekly/ Monthly in line with budgets & Goals.
Optimization of KPI’s – Conversions / ATV / UPT using solution sales / Display / Product Detailing
Attendance, Duty Roster & Grooming Standard evaluation of Every staff member.
Staff Ratio for activities, Solution Sales, Customer Greetings, Tailing the shopper & Assisted shopping initiatives with the customers.
Visual Merchandising / Display & Planogramming in line with established standards.
Planning & Executing Promotions / Store Seasonal Changes
Money Mapping & Shelf Planning to ensure location SPSF / Space to Sales Mix for every fixture.
Category Role Matrix and Price Mapping for every brand / category.
Hotspots / Promo Areas / Fixture Display in line with Campaigns / seasons.
Responsible for inventory in the tore including -accuracy of Stock on hand, Compliance of inwards/ outwards/ transfers process. Responsible for periodic stock takes to measure accuracy.
Responsible for cash till procedures – cash / card transactions accuracy / reconciliation at the day end / deposits and shortfalls.
Responsible for effective execution of all promotions, campaigns, new initiatives including loyalty, data collection, etc. – in line with directives received from supervisors.
Effective Inventory Planning, ageing management, returns to suppliers & Coordination with category teams for freshness and 100% fill rate in the store.
Store Briefing / Goal Setting / Weekend Reviews / Morning Huddles to break business deliverables into smaller digestible units.
Government Compliance @ Zones through: Safety ratios for staff, compliance certification for arena/ activities, DAC/ ERCA training for staff.
Building Occupancy of Zone through School Program / fitness initiatives etc.
Managing service delivery for flagship programs like – Birthdays / YAP / XP etc.
Investigate & inform line manager on untoward accident of any nature – Shopper Accident / Staff incident / Compliance failure etc
Weekly Business Indicators
Service Feedback Collection.
Complaint & Feedback resolution mechanism.
Warranty / Repairs / Service Delivery and fulfilment of customer requests.
Keep a track of competition – Product / prices / services
Knowledge and Skills:
Store Operations, Retail Fundamentals, Customer Experience
Team Lead, attention to detail, alignment to goals, managing ambiguity, crisis management, problem solving.
Drive Sales, Build Compliance, Execute SOP
5-6 Years of Retail Operations Experience, as floor / department manager or 1-2 years store manager experience
