About the opportunity
Jacobs is looking for an Field QA/QC Manager to Structures Engineer to join a Rail project on Stage 2D in Al Dhaid, Sharjah. This role will report functionally to the Programme Quality Assurance Manager, and to the Engineer’s Construction Director on a daily working basis. The successful candidate will work as an integrated member of the Construction team. We are looking for a professional who will ensure client satisfaction and help strengthen our project delivery capabilities.
The successful applicant should possess the following skills and experience:
•Quality Management of Main Contractor, their Sub-Contractors and Suppliers
•Manage the duties of team of Engineers Field Engineers in liaison with Engineers Construction team
•Management of NCR Process, both Engineers and Contractors
•Conduct audits, assist audits scheduling and monitoring contractors’ audits compliance
•Plan and coordinate Contractors Inspections, Tests and Laboratories
•Carry out Surveillance of the Contractors and Sub-Contractors works
•Consolidating data, statistical analysis, KPI preparation and daily/weekly/monthly report writing
•Review Materials Submittals and Inspection & Test Reports
•Supervising Site Lab Testing and coordinating with Independent Laboratories
•Evaluation (visits may be required) of Contractors’ Sub-Contractors and Suppliers suitability
•Chair and minute Weekly Quality Meetings with Main Contractor
•Review of Contractors, Sub-Contractors, Suppliers and Laboratory Test Reports
•Review of Method Statements, ITPs, Material Submittals and Quality documents
•Preparation of procedures, plans, flowcharts, where required
•Monitoring computerised Inspection Status Tracking
•Carrying out Quality Inductions and Training
•Promote Continuous Improvement, Lessons Learned and Preventative Action
Key requirements for the role:
•Minimum 15 years of experience of which 10 years in a similar quality management role
•Mechanical Engineering / Construction Bachelors’ Degree
•Quality Management qualification
