Role Purpose

Enables NEOM to engage and interact with key government on all matters related to BE Engagement and Steering Committees formed to supervise the transition period of NEOM Authority. The incumbent must maintain effective business relationships with key stakeholders the geographical and operational areas of responsibility.

Key Accountabilities & Activities

Establish the base for the Government Engagements division of the NEOM Government Office in relevance to the entities roadmap.

Play the role of the legislative and regulatory advisor to the Director, GA in matters relevant to Government Engagements.

Establish and maintain excellent relationship with the Saudi and Foreign Government and Semi-Government entities that are relevant to NEOM.

Develop and implement BE Steering Committees Secretariat.

Support GA ED in the secretariat task of Board RGC Committee.

Serves as a liaison to one or more external entities, representing NEOM and build working relationships with contact person of these external entities.

Supervise, develop, motivate and retain the existing talented staff within the assigned area.

Develop, implement and manage short and long term strategic plans for the department.

Follow up on correspondence and insure they addressed properly and in a timely manner according to NEOM’s vision, policies and procedures.

Systematically analyze and record relevant governmental policy and regulatory developments.

Monitors and handles day-to-day issues with detail and in a timely fashion.

Participate in the implementation of the initiatives undertaken by Government Affairs Organization

Conducts staff research on issues that affect NEOM relations with Government and impact NEOM’s operations or image

Develop and manage an internal and external communication process and assist in implementing outreach programs to ensure the successful communication of NEOM’s needs and benefits.

Develop and assist in related department presentations.

Develop, implement and manage relevant GA internal policy and procedure aligned with NEOM’s vision and mission.

Maintain the utmost confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Background, Skills & Qualifications

Ability to work effectively in both informal and highly official settings

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Knowledgeable of Government stakeholder management

Knowledgeable of Saudi and Middle East culture and history

Fluent in English and Arabic oral and writing.

High standard of character and conduct.

Ability to work under pressure
