Job PurposeAssurance of Solutions and Services
Holds the delegated Local Engineering Authority for IT in Saudi Arabia.
Ensures that client and internal solutions are assured against applicable standards, and applicable legal, regulatory and contractual requirements, and that the results of such assurance are reported to the Line Leader and appropriate governance in accordance with the BAE Systems IM&T Assurance Framework
Assurance scope is relevant design decisions including architecture, data management, service management, product and environmental safety and IT security.
Assume Chairperson / Assessor roles for relevant solutions
Review and assure project tailoring statements
IM&T Assurance Framework
Assure IM&T solutions against the IM&T Assurance Framework including assuring projects follow an appropriate level of Lifecycle Management (LCM)
Make recommendations for improvement regarding the findings from the IM&T Assurance Framework assessments and also feedback points for learning to the OCIO to facilitate LfE on the framework itself.
Defines and continuously improves assurance measures to monitor the effectiveness of IM&T solution development and service delivery
Produces monthly assurance dashboards to report effectiveness of our IM&T solution development and service delivery
Strategy
Produces business/context models in support of client strategy
Produces Client Strategy Road Maps to underpin sustomer business strategy
Supports the communication of the organisation’s and client’s IT strategy.
Leads on and works with senior management within the organisation to review the effectiveness of the current client strategies in supporting business objectives. Leads the creation of strategies, specifying requirements, conducting feasibility studies to identify the business benefits of alternative strategies, and producing strategic models of the organisation’s information and communications needs.
Builds on a thorough understanding of the business strategy and objectives, works with stakeholders to understand and agree architectural models. Develops the business operating model by mapping business objectives against the architecture.
Identifies and responds to the key business drivers and those areas of business need which are not adequately supported by current and planned IT, within the strategic planning time frame. Develops the strategic response to the business requirement through support to the IBP process. Supports the production of business cases for recommended new applications of information and communications technologies.
Policy and Standards
Drafts and maintains the policy, standards and procedures for compliance with organisational policies and procedures, overall information management strategy, and relevant legislation.
