Parsons is now hiring a Deputy Program Director/ Commercial Manager who can work in a high-paced team environment. Working closely with small team of multi-disciplinary professionals, technical staff and assist the Program Manager overseeing all phases of a large scale development’s component project portfolio and implementation of its component projects or programs.

We need our Deputy Program Managers to be versatile as well as have exceptional communication, analytical and management skills.

In this role you will develop, and manage master community annual budgets and prepare multi-year budget projections related to a large scale development’s component project portfolio.

Provide cost analysis, reporting and prepare detailed presentations and briefings to senior and executive level Clients and local government representatives.

You will utilize widely diversified knowledge of planning, engineering, construction and cost management activities, and draws upon extensive experience working directly with senior and executive level Client representatives.


Assists the Program Director in the performance of their duties.

Develop and manage component project budgets, monitoring expenditures and perform statistical analysis as required

Provides guidance, direction, and specialized assistance to the Program for the resolution of difficult and complex challenges.

Act in the absence of the Program Director or as required subject to the Program Manager’s discretion

Interfaces directly with senior and executive level clients, attends regular meetings, and prepare reports and briefings.

Assesses the impact(s) of design/construction changes and schedule slippages.

Oversees the development and maintenance of an established system to show the hierarchy of plans and schedules; keeps project and Client management fully informed.

Effectively interface on a daily basis with Client Representatives, plot developers, architects and colleagues on a variety of development matters

Creates statistical reports for management on a recurring or adhoc basis.

Prepare monthly reports, contract and procurement management and annual financial reporting and budgets

Participates in business development efforts by gathering and presenting a variety of background data.

May be required to make informal or formal presentations.

Develop timely project briefs and or reports for presentation to Client senior management.

Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.


Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Management, Construction Management, or Commercial Management (or related field)

15-20 years of related experience, including supervisory/managerial experience

Requires advanced engineering knowledge in electrical, mechanical, civil, or a related field

Proficient PC skills including a proficiency in various

Project Controls Software and Microsoft Office Suite

Proven ability to perform in a supervisory capacity

Thorough knowledge of industry practices is required

Incumbent must meet Parsons Project Manager Certification requirements

strong command of English (written and spoken) is essential
