Job Description

Develop and oversee the implementation of standard processes and procedures for the provision of Employee and Government Affairs Department, ensuring process efficiency, cost efficiency and operational continuity, including responding to emergencies and matters arising after official working hours. Oversee the delivery of related operations to ensure alignment with divisional objectives. Develop and implement performance management mechanisms to ensure Employee and Government Affairs Department operations are in line with division quality and efficiency targets

Government Relations Operations


 Develop, implement and continuously monitor management systems to ensure process efficiency for activities related to the below Government Relations functions;- o Trade Licence & Chamber of Commerce Certificates o Civil Defence Approvals o Local Municipality, Environmental and Health Authorities Approvals and Certificates o Operational Fleet Licensing Management  Provide oversight and guidance to ensure Government Relations functions and activities are conducted in a timely and efficient manner  Resolve team escalations  Manage workflow and process efficiency  Implement laid down policies, processes and procedures.Proactively mitigate any circumstances that may interrupt the smooth running of the Government relations Functions including provision of guidance to personnel for resolution of challenges affecting day to day operations.  Proactive and timely reporting and escalation to Vice President, General Services for all matters hindering business continuity, process efficiency and other factors that may adversely affect the delivery of Government Relations functions.

Employees Services Operations

 Develop, implement and continuously monitor management systems to ensure process efficiency for activities related to the below Employee Services functions;- o Passport Custody and Handling o Processing of Visas and residency permits o Processing of accommodation requests o Processing of utility bills o Processing of security Passes  Provide oversight and guidance to ensure Employee Services functions and activities are conducted in a timely and efficient manner  Resolve team escalations  Manage process efficiency  Implement laid down policies, processes and procedures.  Proactively mitigate any circumstances that may interrupt the smooth running of the Employee Services Functions including provision of guidance to personnel for resolution of challenges affecting day to day operations.  Proactive and timely reporting and escalation to Vice President, General Services for all matters hindering business continuity, process efficiency and other factors that may adversely affect the delivery of Employee Services functions

Requirements

Minimum Qualification

 Bachelor’s degree

Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills

 10 years of experience in General Services including at least 6 years in senior supervisory positions
