Apply policies to protect consumers from any fraud, monitor prices, follow up unjustified inflation, and see citizens’ complaints for proposing solutions.
Basic duties and responsibilities
Contribute to the development of policies, procedures and regulations related to consumer protection and awareness in coordination with the working group
Review and adopt the rights, duties and laws of consumer protection prepared.
Periodic follow-up of performance indicators, review of achievement ratios, analysis of the cause of variation and development of improvement opportunities
Monitoring the overall performance of consumer and market protection and reporting on the progress of the work and submitting it to decision maker>
Represent the Department of Economic Development at the federal and local levels in all matters dealing with consumer protection including the organization, coordination and implementation of any changes or challenges in this area and meetings requiring consumer and market protection expertise (e.g. Consumer Protection Commission, Competition Commission, Commercial Fraud Commission and many committees)
Coordination with the relevant departments with the aim of unifying efforts and conveying observations that may lead to raising the level of work for development and benefiting from the experiences of others.
Coordination with relevant stakeholders to propose areas of improvement of the regulatory framework to reduce any current/new suspicious violations or practices that may be predicted by the relevant team.
Contribute to the preparation of the annual awareness plan with the aim of raising awareness among consumers using various channels of communication on the methods and means of fraud and violations monitored or any changes in the regulatory framework or laws on the protection of their rights
Proposing plans and programs to educate the consumer and inform him of his rights and duties and raise them to the head of the consumer awareness department
Contribute to the preparation, review and adoption of questionnaires before distributing them to consumers and follow-up their implementation.
See and analyze the results of the questionnaire and determine the improvement hypothesis
Identify possible improvement opportunities for the current regulatory framework based on investigations carried out in addressing consumer complaints
Preparing studies on market developments and making recommendations
Supervising and constantly updating consumer and market protection communication channels (e.g. websites and social networking sites)
Coordination with the dispute resolution team to ensure that information posted on different channels from both teams is aligned
Proposing consumer protection policies and legislation
Collaborating with various media, to spread consumer awareness
Find global practices related to registering businesses that are considered immoral and inform the consumer not to buy them.
Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or its equivalent
