We are looking for a Consultant / Specialist Neurologist to join our Neurology Team.
Overview of Role:
Provide patient focused Neurology services and ensure optimal clinical care of patients in the department in line with the clinical privileges granted.
Work within a multidisciplinary team with a personalized and caring attitude.
Provide leadership, supervision and support to the junior clinical staff (doctors and
nurses).
Help develop, and participate in, a postgraduate training program
Duties and Responsibilities:
Diagnoses and treats neurological diseases of both inpatients and outpatients, using appropriate methods in keeping with generally accepted professional standards in the specialty
Consults with and is consultant to all other members of medical staff as required
Is required to provide after-hours neurological services during weekdays and weekends
Provides after hours emergency internal medicine services on a rotational basis
Ensures optimal documentation and medical handover of patient care when required (for example at weekends or periods of leave)
To serve on hospital committee as requested
To attend departmental & medical staff meetings as scheduled
Such other duties as are reasonably requested by the Head of Department or Chief Medical Officer
Qualification:
MBBS or equivalent
FRCP* or equivalent
Experience:
Minimum 8 years post specialization in Neurology
Knowledge / Technical Skills:
BLS provider
Personal Abilities / Competencies:
Critical decision making skills
Strong customer service ethic
Good interpersonal and communication skills
IT literate
License / Registration:
Valid DHA license
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: AED70,000.00 – AED90,000.00 per month
