Job Description

: Manage, coordinate and supervise the construction process from the conceptual development stage through final construction and handover to completions on a timely and economical basis.

Responsible for coordinating and managing contractors, materials and equipment, schedules and contracts whilst maintaining client satisfaction and international standards of safety and quality.

Requirements: 5+ years of experience in direct hire construction;

– 15+ years of experience in the oil & gas industry;

– Experience working with an international EPC company;

– Excellent leadership, communication and problem resolution skills, with ability to lead, motivate and inspire a diverse workforce;

– Can demonstrate commitment and ownership of HSE on a similar project;

– Prior experience working with a diverse international workforce;

– Relevant degree or diploma;

– Fluent in English Written and oral.

Duties and Responsibilities: – Execute the construction works in line with the delivery schedule, contract specifications, and conditions;

– Contribute to the preparation of the construction organization chart and mobilization schedule;

– Ensure that the construction organisation chart and work distribution is in line with the capacity of the individuals;

– Direct the construction activities, oversee construction supervisors, subcontractors and workers;

– Ensure that constructability process is implemented in design phase and ensure participation of construction personnel in all project model reviews;

– Monitor day to day activities of subcontractors to facilitate achievement of targets. Identify Slippages and backlogs and formulate action plans to keep the project on schedule;

– Demonstrate a strong commitment and ownership of Health, Safety, and Environmental excellence;

– Ensure adherence to the project and corporate Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) procedures and maintain a safe working environment;

– Ensure adherence to project and corporate quality assurance policies and procedures;

– Support the subcontractors and vendors by removing impediments to progress, assisting in the development of their schedules, and ensuring that they have the materials, engineering deliverables, tools and resources required to complete their activities within the required time frames;

– Implement Management of Change actions for all events that can potentially lead to a change in the project cost or schedule;

– Manage construction and maintenance of temporary facilities;

– Contribute to the development and implementation of the Construction Execution Plan (CEP) and construction execution strategy and schedule;

– Ensure that all site activities are carried out in adherence to these;

– Implement the construction work processes, procedures and systems;

– Manage the construction team creating an atmosphere of co-operation and oneness. Foster role clarity, involvement and team spirit to facilitate smooth execution of the project;
